Description

Big Data Drives Big Decisions

Technology's Role in Decision Making

Data - and lots of it- is influencing decision-making in TV and film production in a very big way.

Decisions on how projects are green-lit, created, produced, distributed and marketed are effected by the data that’s being collected during production, on social media, streaming services, mobile devices, email and web based communications. How we consume content is evolving and opening the door to data rich models that claim to predict what we will watch, and how we will watch it, in the future.

Everything in a digital environment is track-able.

What we ultimately do with that information is yet another decision.

How we consume content is evolving and opening the door to data rich models that claim to predict what we will watch, and how we will watch it. FANG (Facebook, Amazon, Netflix and Google) are offering very targeted statistics about their viewers.
